Where the information comes from

These are not emergency shelters. In an emergency: Call 112

We only show what a source backs up. What we have not checked reads "not checked" and never "yes". Operators hold the house rules. There is no right to stay.

  • OpenStreetMap ODbL 1.0 Location, name, address. The opening hours serve only as a fallback for the "open now" status when no research hours exist. If they say "PH off", we apply that to the research hours.
  • Editors of navigator.berlin Winter opening, staying without buying and entry fee from our own research on operator websites. Each place shows its source and check date. We derive the "open now" status from the research opening hours when the note names a fixed weekly schedule. Otherwise we show no status.
  • German Weather Service (DWD) Official cold warnings at the top of the page.
